1)   When did censorship first begin happening?

    A: Music Censorship began as early as 1927, when congress enacted the Radio Act of 1927, prohibiting the use of obscene, indecent or profane language on the radio.

2)   Which companies refuse to sell explicit albums and why?

    A: The main company that will not carry explicit albums is Walmart. Walmart will carry R-rated movies and guns, but refuses to carry explicit albums                 because of the vulgarity.

3)   Why are radio stations obligated to bleep out words?

    A:  The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulates Radio stations and other communications. Their job, established by the Communications Act of 1934, regulate and control what is said over radio and television.

4)   Are artists’ generally bothered by their music being censored?

    A: There isn't a general consensus of how artists' generally feel. With that being said, there are many advocates in the music industry of anti-censorship, and it is agreed that it restricts their freedom in writing and performing.

5)   Around what year did everything first begin, clean albums and beeping?

    A: Throughout the 1990's, music exploded because of CD's and upcoming artists'. They pushed the limits of what can be done in music, causing a chain reaction all through the 90's that lead to parental advisory and cleaning lyrics.
